About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team at Haufe Group. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our flagship product, Lexware Office, which streamlines payroll, accounting, tax, and financial management for over 50,000 employers and their employees. As a senior member of the development team, you will work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX designers, and fellow developers.

Your expertise will help shape the future of our cloud-based applications, ensuring they remain robust, scalable, and aligned with the latest business requirements. The position offers flexibility in work location, with options to work from our office in Freiburg im Breisgau, from home, or from other cities such as Leipzig and Berlin, fostering a healthy work-life balance and promoting innovative thinking.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess several years of experience in developing cloud-based applications, with a strong foundation in microservice architecture, database design, and RESTful API development. Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot is essential, and familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, as well as cloud platforms like AWS, is highly desirable. You should have a genuine passion for high-quality software engineering, demonstrating a structured approach to work and an ability to quickly grasp complex technical domains.

Excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently are crucial. Furthermore, you should be customer-oriented, always considering the end-user experience, and comfortable working within agile teams following Scrum methodologies. Fluency in German (minimum C2 level) is mandatory, as our team communicates primarily in German.

Responsibilities Participate actively as a senior member of our agile, cross-functional team, contributing to the planning, development, and refinement of Lexware Office features.

Extend and improve the existing codebase, ensuring it adapts to changing business needs and maintains high standards of quality and performance.

Engage constructively in team discussions, providing critical feedback and helping to reach consensus on technical solutions.

Work autonomously to identify, design, and implement robust and scalable technical solutions for new features and enhancements.

Address technical challenges promptly by taking initiative or collaborating with colleagues, promoting a culture of open communication and short decision paths.

Continuously learn and explore new topics and technologies, integrating this knowledge into your work to enhance product capabilities.
