About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team at Haufe Group. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our flagship cloud-based software solutions, focusing on streamlining HR, payroll, and financial processes for our clients. As a key member of our agile, cross-functional team, you will work collaboratively with product managers, UX designers, and fellow developers to create robust, scalable, and innovative features that meet the needs of over 50,000 employers across Germany.

Your expertise will help ensure our platforms remain at the forefront of technology, providing seamless user experiences and reliable performance. The role offers flexibility in working location, with options to work from our office in Freiburg im Breisgau, from home, or from other cities such as Leipzig and Berlin, fostering a healthy work-life balance and encouraging creative collaboration.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess several years of professional experience in full stack application development, with a strong background in cloud-based architectures. You should have comprehensive knowledge of microservice design, RESTful APIs, and database management. Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot is essential, and experience with frontend frameworks such as React is highly advantageous.

Familiarity with AWS cloud services or a willingness to develop expertise in this area is preferred. You should demonstrate a passion for high-quality software development, with a structured approach to work and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business domains. Excellent communication skills in German (minimum C2 level) are required, as well as a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous learning.

Your ability to work independently, contribute constructively to team discussions, and deliver reliable, scalable solutions will be crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities Participate as a senior member of an agile, cross-functional team, including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and UX designers, to develop innovative features for our cloud platforms.

Enhance and maintain the Lexware Office codebase, ensuring it continuously adapts to evolving business requirements and user needs.

Contribute constructively to team discussions, influencing decision-making processes, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality solutions.

Take ownership of technical tasks, designing and implementing robust, scalable features with a focus on quality and maintainability.

Address technical challenges promptly by engaging with colleagues or acting independently to find effective solutions, maintaining clear and direct communication channels.

Continuously expand your knowledge by exploring new topics and integrating this expertise into ongoing projects to improve platform capabilities.

Write clean, efficient code that contributes to the overall success and reliability of Lexware Office, and participate in knowledge-sharing activities within the technical community.
