About The Role The ivv GmbH is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join the Application Development Department for Composite Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex applications within an agile environment, primarily focusing on the insurance sector. You will work closely with Product Owners to understand business requirements, translate these into user stories, and ensure the optimal implementation of solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications Completed university degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, along with relevant professional experience.

Extensive experience in Java development, particularly with Java and Jakarta EE.

Familiarity with modern tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium.

Practical knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches.

Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for daily work processes.

Experience with Cobol, SQL, or mainframe technologies is advantageous but not mandatory.

High reliability, excellent communication skills, and a strong team orientation.

Fluent German language skills at a minimum of C1 level.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain applications within an agile development framework, with a focus on composite insurance systems.

Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand and refine business requirements, translating them into technical user stories.

Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve development processes.

Ensure the quality and performance of applications through rigorous testing and code reviews.

Implement modern development practices, including automated testing and continuous integration.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT infrastructure and business units, to deliver integrated solutions.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative improvements.

Contribute to the optimization of agile workflows and team collaboration methods.
